I used to think that our limiting belief, was always shouting to be “Right”. Isn’t that what a belief is, something happened to me and I interpreted it to mean something and then I collected data to support that interpretation which allowed me to be “Right” about my limiting belief?
Though I still hold the belief that our limiting beliefs are screaming to be “Right”, I think more importantly, they are screaming to be “Heard”. Think about it, you have something happen to you or around you when you were young and you didn’t have the ability to say, this isn’t right. Wouldn’t it have been so much better if you had the ability to articulate what you were feeling?
How awesome would it have been to be able to shout to the top of the mountains, “I don’t feel seen or heard”. That’s my limiting belief by the way...
How great would that have been? It would have been even better if there had been someone there to listen to you and help you understand the truth of the situation.
So here’s what I want you to do. Say your limiting belief to yourself and say to it, “I hear you”. Take time to hear what your heart needs to say and hear what your limiting belief has been trying to communicate to you and to the world for so long. And then, remind yourself of the truth in the situation. The truth is usually connected to your Vision or the result you bring. Practice your new truth, I think you will be glad you did.
